What is IGDA Munich?
IGDA Munich is a local group of the IGDA, a so-called Chapter, for people in the area to gather, network and discuss the various aspects of daily life in game development. Along with Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt it is one of the four German Chapters.
We regularly hold meetings with talks about game-related topics. These meetings are free of charge and open for everyone, you do not need to be a member. Everyone is welcome at the IGDA chapter meetings, from enthusiasts to professional developers.
Our Mission
The mission of the IGDA Munich Chapter is to promote the development of careers and professional skills of individual game developers based in and around Munich as well as to further develop the international recognition of the German game developer community.
Our Goals
- Make it easy for local developers to meet other professionals and to build social networks.
- Facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices.
- Attract and help new talent get into the local industry. We want to raise the general awareness of games as an attractive and realistic career choice.
- Attract foreign talent to Germany, and make them feel a valuable part of the local development community.
- Make working in the local industry more fun by creating a strong sense of community.
